Why wouldn't you start your first business on your birthday and on Texas Independence Day. I can't believe it has been a year already but time flies when you are doing something you are passionate about and for people who invest their trust and support into you. It will be exciting to see what the next year has in store for Independence Flooring and Renovations, LLC, but it is off to a great start with some challenging and exciting projects already in the works.

It was an honor to be inducted as a new Member of the Rotary Club of Dallas. Our Rotary Club is the 1st Club in Texas and 37th in the world. There’s so many great people who’ve contributed their time to support and improve our community and I hope to be able to do the same. Here’s the Rotary “Four Way Test” if you haven’t seen it before. The world would be a better place if we could follow them. First - Is it the TRUTH? Second - Is it FAIR to all concerned? Third - Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? This weekend we completed a sand and finish job that was a very special one to us for a number of reasons. To begin with, It was our first job under the Independence Flooring and Renovation, LLC business, next it was for a fellow Rotary Member of the Dallas Rotary Club that I just joined, and lastly it was rescuing a homeowner who had been without a completed kitchen since December when they started their kitchen and flooring renovation with another company. The homeowner was not satisfied with the stain color and the finishing of their floors. The stain color did not match their existing floors, the floors were still rough, and the finish was already starting to come off. This job entailed removing the previous stain and finish, matching the stain color, hand scrapping the floors, and finishing the floors with polyurethane. The end result was a beautiful hardwood floor and a happy client who has already referred us to her friends and is planning future projects with us.
