Today, GS parents were treated to a morning of art and dance. Students performed dance numbers they have been working on for weeks, showcasing their talent and hard work. Today, the CE2 and CM1 student council met to discuss the final plans and activities for the remainder of the school year. Today, DIS bid farewell to our beloved Chef Mike, who, along with the rest of the Sage Dining Services team, has served both campuses daily with delicious and healthy meals for students, staff and faculty. Internally promoted, Chef Mike will now be traveling the country for Sage in his new role. Today, PS students finally released the butterflies they have been raising into the wild. Today, our PS students performed a very special springtime fairytale production. Students have been working hard on the lyrics and choreography for months, and were able to showcase their talent today for teachers and parents to enjoy. Students dressed as fairies, ladybugs, bunnies and more, and sang and danced their hearts out. Today, our Churchill campus welcomed musicians from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. This week is School Safety Week at DIS. All week, students will attend safety-related assemblies and participate in activities centered on safety strategies and prevention. Yesterday, students attended a puppet show provided by Dallas Fire & Rescue on the importance of smoke detectors, what to do during a fire and how to stop, drop and roll. Today, students attended a demonstration by Mark-9 Search & Rescue, where they were able to meet search and rescue k-9 dogs, learn how to react if lost, and what to do to ensure they are found safely and timely. #theDISdifference #internationaleducation #AllezLesTigres
