What a fantastic APPI Heritage Month Trivia Breakfast! A big shoutout to Matt Syrett and Adi Narayanan for guiding us through a morning filled with fun and learning and congrats to the winning team (pictured). The experience was outstanding, from the delicious Matcha Lattes and Masala Chai Teas to the scrumptious Aloo Parathas, not to mention the beautifully crafted APPI-inspired gift basket. It was truly special to share and celebrate the diversity of our cultures. Here’s to many more moments like this! #APPIHeritageMonth #CulturalDiversity #Jabian

Our next employee spotlight celebrating Black History Month is Erin Smith. In support of our theme of "African Americans and the Arts", we've asked our colleagues about their favorite artists and their inspirations. This is Erin's... "D-Nice, a DJ and music curator, holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite artists because of his remarkable ability to bring the world together through music. The virtual Club Quarantine sessions that he held during the pandemic were a global phenomenon and brought people together during one of the hardest and most uncertain times in our lives. Personally, I credit Club Quarantine as a lifeline that provided solace and strength during the demanding times of the pandemic. He’s also been able to showcase the universality of music and its power to connect people from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, he’s a passionate advocate for inclusivity and remains committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry." #jabian #blackhistorymonth

Our next employee spotlight celebrating Black History Month is Mykal Fraser. In support of our theme of "African Americans and the Arts", we've asked our colleagues about their favorite artists and their inspirations. This is Mykal's... "Most people know Dr. Angelou as a poet, dancer, storyteller and activist. Through her powerful writing, she addresses issues of racism, identity, and resilience. One of her most celebrated books is "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings," which details her difficulties she faced growing up in the segregated south and her resiliency to overcome many challenges. As a junior in college, I had the opportunity to experience her brilliance as a student in her Poetry and Performance. She taught me more than the fundamental of performance. She taught me that belonged. She would often say, “Wherever you place my feet is the place that you are meant to be. You belong there and don’t let anyone tell you differently.” #jabian #blackhistorymonth

His skill in crafting intricate personal narratives, weaving in relevant social commentary, and incorporating many diverse sounds all while relentlessly pursuing perfection, profoundly resonates with my journey. Beyond his artistic brilliance, Kendrick's unwavering commitment to excellence and community engagement distinguishes him among his peers. As a young black man, he inspires me to passionately pursue my ambitions, using my unique gifts and talents to effect positive change in the community and to remain true to myself." #jabian #blackhistorymonth
