Independence Gardens & Girls Save The World™ are North Texas–based nonprofit initiatives empowering youth through leadership, innovation, and sustainable impact. Founded in 2013, Independence Gardens connects students to fresh food, health literacy, and STEAM learning through programs like The Beanstalk Project HydroTowers, Come and EAT IT®, and IGROW in Leadership — increasing access to fresh food in schools while building purpose-driven young leaders. Its flagship youth initiative, Girls Save The World™, prepares middle and high school girls to become future-ready innovators and problem-solvers. Through a 12-week leadership and STEAM curriculum, mentorship, Congressional Award–aligned service hours, and an annual Global Youth Leadership Summit, participants develop real-world solutions to challenges affecting their communities.
