The divide between North Dallas and South Dallas can be described as a “tale of two cities.” The gap, historically, has been driven by infrastructure, opportunity, and economic policy that started with social pressures in the 1950s-1970s. The historical disinvestment in the southern sector led to a lower tax base and a lack of economic inclusivity.

Bottom line: ignoring Southern Dallas is bad for business.

For decades the city has been crafting policies and initiatives to bridge the gap and bring economic development to southern Dallas. Join us for a bus tour highlighting the people and places in southern Dallas that are influencing the Dallas economy.

Our itinerary will kick off with a bus departure from Northpark Center.
